A very warm welcome to the press section of Kunsthalle Wien! Here you can download press releases and press images for your research and press coverage needs. Downloads of the material are free, but please note that the images are to be used only with the correct copyright notice and with proper reference to Kunsthalle Wien.

In addition to changing exhibitions, Kunsthalle Wien is focusing on an intensive discourse in different formats. Selected recordings and the Kunsthalle Wien Podcast series are also available for research purposes on our YouTube channel and via Soundcloud.

Exhibition program for the first half of 2024

In their final program as artistic directors of Kunsthalle Wien, What, How & for Whom / WHW (Ivet Ćurlin, Nataša Ilić and Sabina Sabolović) remain true to the core principle of their curatorial work: to turn the spotlight on art’s capacity to spark critical reflection.

As before, the programming for the first half of 2024 gathers local and international positions that limn art as a communicative space: works by Rene Matić and Oscar Murillo are shown in a double exhibition, for which the two internationally renowned artists draw significant inspiration from Vienna. We also continue our successful collaboration with Wiener Festwochen, mounting a group exhibition that connects the power of the sun to social and political movements. Our ongoing efforts to promote the local arts scene, meanwhile, are front and center in the exhibition showcasing the winners of the Kunsthalle Wien Prize 2023.
