Statement on accessibility
The Stadt Wien Kunst GmbH/Kunsthalle Wien endeavors to make its website accessible in accordance with the federal law on accessible websites and mobile applications (Austrian Web Accessibility Act, Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz or WZG) BGBl. I. Nr. 59/2019 idgF.
This accessibility statement applies to the website kunsthallewien.at.
Status of compliance with the regulations
This website is partially compatible with conformance level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines—WCAG 2.1 and the applicable European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) under Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, respectively, due to the following non-compliances and exemptions.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
a. Non-compliance with the accessibility legislation
Subtitles are not available for a variety of time-based media. This means that WCAG criterion 1.2.2 (recorded subtitles) is not met.
Some images lack alternative texts and some functional links are not labelled, the color contrast is sometimes insufficient, and the keyboard operation is not always intuitive. The website is in a relaunch phase and it is planned to pay extra attention to accessibility in the next version of the website.
b. Disproportionate burden
The website contains old content, some of which is not yet fully accessible. We are endeavoring to adapt the content of the site accordingly in the future.
c. The content that is not within the scope of the applicable legislation
Content by third parties, for example studies or presentation materials by external speakers, which are not within the sphere of influence of the Stadt Wien Kunst GmbH/Kunsthalle Wien, are exempt from the Directive (EU) 2016/2102. No statement can be made regarding this third-party content’s compliance with accessibility regulations.
