The experimental film Aufdecken [Uncover] about invisible Stolpersteine (stumbling blocks) in Brunnenviertel will premiere on November 14 at Brunnenpassae with a film screening and a commemorative action.
The film is on view until November 28, and can be seen in the Brunnenpassage (also from the outside via subtitles).
We have to deal with the past of the places around us. In Brunnenviertel there are hardly any stones of remembrance that remind of the deportation of residents.
The houses we live in, the places we walk past every day. We are surrounded by buried history, from a buried time, in a city where much has been buried…
In the experimental film Aufdecken [Uncover] residents of Brunnenviertel are confronted with the question “Do you know that there is an air raid shelter on Yppenplatz?” and “Do you know that people were deported from your apartment building?”
