The architect Gerhard Flora created a simple yet evocative exhibition design for No Feeling is Final. The Skopje Solidarity Collection using common prefabricated building materials. This choice helps to recreate some of the city’s atmosphere while also stressing how much both Skopje and the collection of MoCA Skopje still feel like being in the midst of a process of change and construction.
Gerhard Flora is a member of the architecture collective AKT. The aim of the seventeen-member architecture collective is to promote the independent and utopian production of space. The design of our living environment, which increasingly follows economic constraints, is to be broken up, undermined and counteracted by alternative models through the construction of tangible spaces. AKT understands architecture as action and living communication made tangible through fabrication.
