A changing world requires new forms of communication and togetherness. For this reason, we decided to our launch online art talks for groups on the exhibition … of bread, wine, cars, security and peace. We believe that discussions and exchange about contemporary art can provide a lot of strength for our “new” everyday life – and help us to better understand the world we live in today.
On the basis of select artistic positions – from videos to exhibition views of the works – we will discuss with you how society can be conceived anew and what it really takes to have a “good life.” The talks are centered around works by artists of different generations and ethnic backgrounds, which reveal new perspectives and help us to discover new modes of action in the present situation.
All you need for the art talk is a laptop, a computer, or a smartphone with a camera and audio function along with Internet access and the free video conferencing app Zoom.
Students, school classes, and other groups of max 14 persons are welcome to join!
The art talks are free of charge, tailored to the needs of the interested participants, and can be booked from May 4, 2020 on in German and English (with native speakers). For dates and more information about the procedure, please write to: vermittlung@kunsthallewien.at.
